How to Qualify

The 2009 NHHC will be held on April 25, 2009.

Contestants may earn a spot in the championship by either qualifying through a satellite tournament at a participating partner outlet or direct buy-in.

The total buy-in for the NHHC Final is $800 [$400 non-refundable entry fee plus $400 required tournament bankroll].



Host an NHHC Qualifier
To become involved in hosting an NHHC Qualifier, you must be an authorized wagering outlet that accepts wagers on Meadowlands races.

$50,000 GUARANTEED TOTAL PRIZE POOL
Payouts to the Top 10
(Prize structure based on number of entries; Limited to first 200 entries)

Total Fee: $800

$400 additional NHHC betting card purchase

Entry includes programs, Harness Eye, welcome reception Friday, April 24 & dinner buffet Saturday, April 25

CHALLENGE FORMAT
• Contestants must bet 10 races: a combination of mandatory races plus player’s choice of Meadowlands races.
• $40 minimum bet per race; $100 maximum bet.
• Win, Place, W/P wagers only [not to exceed $100].
• One (1) horse per race.
• Contestants keep all pari-mutuel winnings.
• One (1) entry per person.

PRIZE STRUCTURE
• $50,000 Guaranteed Total Prize Pool.
• Prize pool based on 125 entries (est. $50,000).
• All entry fees will be returned as prize money.
• Order of finish is based on highest accumulated pari-mutuel earnings.
