Kicked off 2019 an impressive three-for-three before suffering his first defeat of the season, fast-closing second by a nose in the Earl Beal, Jr. Memorial while pace & trip compromised, Melander said, “When he puts in that gear, he can go so fast it looks like other horses are standing still.”

Won the fastest Beal elimination in 1:52.1, tough trip to finish third [1:53] in the Beal Final, only his second start of 2019, Melander said, “He had a little soreness in the qualifiers.  It was nothing major and everything has been great since we took care of it.”
