1

Southwind Frank

Yannick Gingras, Ron Burke, Burke Racing St., Weaver Bruscemi, Our Horse Cents St., J&T Silva St.

Overcame post 11 in the second tier & sloppy track to equal his lifetime mark of 1:52.1 in his final prep on July 30 in the Reynolds Memorial, had trained perfectly with a blinker hood, smooth sailing for the Winterbook favorite, the one to knock off now

2

Marion Marauder

Scott Zeron, Paula Wellwood, Marion Jean Wellwood, Devin Keeling

Scratched out of a qualifier on July 30, the Goodtimes winner in a career best 1:52.4 dominated his Dancer division, goes into the eliminations on a three-race winning streak, peaking perfectly for Zeron’s Hambletonian debut

3

Bar Hopping

Tim Tetrick, Jimmy Takter, Christina Takter, Hatfield St., Marvin Katz, Al Libfeld

Takter’s best shot at a fifth Hambletonian, decisive winner of the Zweig Memorial @ Vernon Downs in 1:53.1, his other win this season came upsetting Southwind Frank in a Beal elimination in 1:52.1, Bionic Man Time?

4

Sutton

Andy Miller, Julie Miller, Andy Miller Stable, Jason & Douglas Allen

1:51.2 Big M qualifier back on May 21 spells speed, romped from post eight in a Zweig consolation in 1:52.4, rallied from post 11 to be a strong second to Southwind Frank in the Dancer, surging for Team Orange Crush with a powerful 1-2 punch

5

Milligan’s School

Andy Miller, Julie Miller, Stroy Inc.

Second [1:53.2] to Bar Hopping in the Zweig after fading to sixth behind Marion Marauder in his Dancer split, posted a career best of 1:53.2 in the Beal Consolation, the Miller’s best Hambo finish was fourth with The Chancellor in 2009

6

Brooklyn Hill

Dave Miller, Jonas Czernyson, SRF Stable

Faded to third [1:53.2] as the heavy favorite behind Sutton in a Zweig Consolation, broke & finished eighth in the Beal Final, runner up in the NJSS Final & twice second to Southwind Frank this season, yet winless in five starts in 2016

7

Love Matters

Brett Miller, Jimmy Takter, Christina Takter, Brixton Medical, John Fielding, Herb Liverman

Deadheat for third [1:53.3] in the Zweig was encouraging, rallied from ninth to third behind Southwind Frank in his Dancer division, a close second to Milligan’s School in the Beal Consolation, solid back up plan for the Team Takter contingent

8

Waitlifter K

Dave Miller, Andrew Harris, Robert Key

Regained major player status with a 1:52.3 career best in a Zweig Consolation, while making his second start for his new trainer Andrew Harris, Valley Victory elimination winner [154.1] at two is a serious longshot chance

9

Maven’s Way

John Campbell, Ake Svandstedt, Ake Svanstedt St., Mal & Janet Burroughs, T L P Stable, E. Hietakanges

1:51.4 winner at the Big M back on May 27, third in the NJSS Final, qualified chasing Pinkman, John Campbell has won a record six Hambletonians

10

Reigning Moni

Jimmy Takter, K R Breeding, Brixton Medical, Preferred Equine Marketing, Christina Takter

Another Takter trainee slips into the Top Ten fresh off a wire-to-wire 1:52.4 career best blowout from post nine on July 29, Donato Hanover colt whose second dam is the great Moni Maker
