Pocono Downs also hosted four divisions of the $128,000 Pennsylvania All-Stars for colts to kick off their annual sires stakes program on Saturday, while fillies competed in three divisions for a total of $96,000 on Sunday, May 3.

Habitat (H-Conway Hall) sprinted to the lead down the backstretch as the 1-2 favorite and maintained control to the finish, winning the Dexter Cup in 1:56.4. Divisionist (H-Andover Hall) applied first-over pressure and found room at the cones late to chase for second, and Gabe The Bear Dean was third.

Owned by Burke Racing Stable, Our Horse Cents Stables, and Weaver Bruscemi, trained by Ron Burke, and driven by Yannick Gingras, Habitat paid $3.00 in his sophmore debut. Other hopefuls Apostles Creed (H-Credit Winner) and Sixteen Encores (H-Encore) were fourth and fifth respectively.

With favorites Blk Thai Optional and Jewels In Hock breaking at the start, Southwind Cartier (H-Muscle Hill) trotted leisurely on the lead until Northern Obsession came to challenge in the stretch and eventually got by to win in 2:01. Sent off at 22-1, the Gilbert Garcia-Herrera trainee, who he owns in part with Barbara and Donald Arstine, was guided to victory by Eric Abbatiello and to a $46.20 win dividend. Oaks eligible My Lucky Word (H-Lucky Chucky) finished sixth at 23-1 due to a break.

Pocono Downs collected fourteen Hambo eligibles, among 13 other horses, to compete in four divisions of the PA All-Stars on their matinee card Saturday, May 2.

Boots N Chains (H-Yankee Glide) rode the pocket and sat behind Jacksons Minion (H-Explosive Matter) and managed to establish a 1:55.1 score at 5-2, with Jacksons Minion finishing second and Wimborne Hanover third. Owned by William Wiswell, Jean Goehlen and Eugene Schick, trained by John Butenschoen and driven by Mike Wilder, the eligible returned $7.40 to win.
