Pigskin and Ponies (Week 5)
Overall Record: 9-5-2
Week 5 Record: 3-1
Game1: Atlanta (-3) at WASHINGTON
I have been riding the Atlanta bandwagon and this is no time to stop now. Washington has one of the worst pass defense in the game and Matt Ryan is going to pick apart the Redskin defense. While Washington will put up points, I side with Atlanta to win by a touchdown or so.
Play: Atlanta (-3)
Game 2: MINNESOTA (-5.5) vs. Tennessee
The Vikings are one of the biggest surprises in the league. It's great to see Adrian Peterson running like he was before his torn ACL/MCL. The way the Titans have been playing on both side of the ball, I just cannot see them staying with a team with this type of running attack. Minnesota keeps rolling.
Play: MINNESOTA (-5.5)
Game 3: CINCINNATI (-3) vs. Miami
Arizona just finished up a wild game with the Dolphins before they were embarrassed Thursday Night in St. Louis. While the Dolphins have a very stout run defense, they are extremely thin against the pass, and their secondary is banged up as well. A.J. Green and Andy Dalton are going to have a big day.
Play: CINCINNATI (-3)
Game 4: Houston (-8) at NY JETS
This game opened at 4 1/2 and has since moved to 8. No Santonio Holmes, No Darelle Revis, No Running Game...No good. By the end of this game Tebow chants will fill the air at Met Life Stadium. It's going to be very ugly. Houston will run all over the Jets diminished defense.
Play: Houston (-8)
Fantasy Football:
The Perfect Lineup for Week 5:
QB - Matt Ryan
RB - Arian Foster
RB - Adrian Peterson
WR - AJ Green
WR - Roddy White
WR - Percy Harvin
TE - Rob Gronkowksi
K - David Akers
D - Houston Texans
Start em:
This is where we list the not so obvious fantasy impact players. (You'll never see us say, "start Aaron Rodgers")
QB - Andy Dalton: The Dolphins Run Defense is the best in the league, but their pass defense is one of the worst. Dalton airs it out.
QB - Eli Manning: Eli has gotten to the point where he makes players around him. Joe Haden, the shutdown CB is not playing. Big #'s coming.
RB - Alfred Morris: RG3 will continue to air the ball out, opening things up for the run game. Morris should continue to roll along.
