RACE 1

3-Capricornus – After two excellent qualifiers here he chased a favorite who stole away on the lead @ Pocono, in line for another smooth trip here, first foal out of a sister to Cedar Dove, 1:52.3 [$1,178,930]

 

1-Big Oil – Homebred son of Father Patrick prepped solidly & romped decisively in his PA Allstars opener @ Pocono & draws better back here, second foal out of the Miller’s Cee Bee Yes, 1:50.2 [$534,206]

 

5-Expectations – Controlled both baby races here, then clearly second best to Big Oil @ Pocono, gate speed puts him right back in play, brother to a couple of good ones, My MVP, 1:52 [$879,804] & Top Expectations, 1:51.3 [$408,694]

 

RACE 2

4-Ramona Hill – Muscle Hill first foal out 1:51.4 performer Lock Down Lindy won both preps with a sharp late burst & dominated her debut as advertised, looks to sail along in a soft division for the Alagna Armada

 

3-Jula Beauty AM – Her baby races were excellent, including a close second to Ramona Hill, must rebound off a late miscue @ Pocono as the heavy favorite, second foal & sister to Guaranteed, a 1:53.4 3YO this season

 

5-Julia C – Won her second baby race with confidence, then broke at the start of her debut last week, has a chance to rebound & step it up, sister to Wolfgang, 1:51.3 [$578,560]

 

RACE 3

6-Captain Nemo – $400,000 yearling chased Capt Midnight in both morning trials, outhustled that stablemate when favored in his debut, looms large for Team Alagna, brother to Hayden Hanover, a 1:47.3 Big M winner a few weeks ago

 

5-Capt Midnight – $350,000 colt won both baby races rather impressively, then paced a :53.3 back half from an impossible spot, moves inside to midpack in a loaded division, brother to 1:49.1 Pace finalist Captain Trevor

 

7-Lottery Winner – Really stepped up to win his second qualifier with major league speed, paced a :54.4 back half in his debut @ Mohawk, challenging post in a tough field, brother to Thinkbig Dreambig, 1:48.2 [$551,702]

 

RACE 4

2-Top Expectations – Shipped south from Mohawk fresh off a new mark 1:51.3 & squandered a second over trip chasing Hannelore Hanover, class & post relief & trip potential make her a serious contender in this match up

 

3-Homicide Hunter – Fastest trotter in history got a reprieved from series action & got parked chased a 1:51.2 winner last week, draws better for Team Burke, no standouts in here, big chance to take charge & due to spark something

 

4-Top Flight Angel – Shook loose late with some alert trot to the wire in his return to the Big M last week, finds a prime spot to crack his 2019 goose egg for Team Orange Crush

 

RACE 5

7-Eurobond – Was an instant success with the barn change to Team Orange Crush, reeling off a convincing career best of 1:51.4 as the heavy favorite, big threat to repeat

 

9-Spectre – Fresh off an upset & new mark of 1:52.3 he regressed into another late break last week, this gelding has some upside potential, look for him to leave, settle in for another trip & possibly rebound for Team Harmon

 

3-Captain Morgan – Lightly raced 4YO qualified more than adequately behind Hambo players Pilot Discretion & Don’t Let’em, draws inside with speed & could make an immediate impression

 

RACE 6

5-Sheer Muscle – Lightly-raced 3YO Muscle Hill colt has been showing positive signs, added Lasix & failed to match up with top Hambo players in the Dancer, lands in a softer spot to regain his confidence

 

2-Hatikvah – Steadily improving yet winless 3YO for Marcus Melander with only eight starts, huge improvement & solid second two starts back, trotted home in :27 last out & draws inside a field rip for the taking

 

6-Star Track Hanover – Team Orange Crush Hambo eligible just one for 14, not going in the right direction & comes off an early break, yet has a chance to turn things around in this field of question marks

 

RACE 7

1-Hellbent For AM S – Swedish-bred son of Muscle Hill has been picture-perfect so far, held on to win his PA Allstars debut @ Pocono for Team Melander & stands out from the rail here

 

9-Ontopofthehill – Runner up to the uncatchable Synergy last week & second to Big Oil in his previous qualifier, tougher draw, but high end potential for this $250,000 yearling, second dam is the 2006 Oaks champion Passionate Glide 

 

5-Stay Close – Father Patrick colt has made some natural progress in three morning trials & just missed with some speed in his latest, a brother to Milligan’s School, 1:53.2 [$539,726] 

 

RACE 8

4-Abigail Dawn – Consistent Chris Ryder trainee has more than held her own against stakes company, fresh off a gutsy win @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, draws well in a wide-open field

 

5-Key West – Lightly-raced 1:51.1 performer at two has now had three starts on the comeback trail for Team Alagna & the beaten favorite hasn’t raced in a month, still has a chance to flaunt her talent & potential in a field begging for someone to step up

 

7-Kimberlee – Crushed down to 9-5 favorite & romped to a new mark of 1:51.2 here on June 7 off a sick scratch, returns fresh off a solid second @ Pocono & may be ready to step up to this level for Team Svanstedt

 

RACE 9

3-Synergy – $275,000 Father Patrick colt out of a sister to Federal Flex, 1:53.3 [$735,534] looked superb in his third baby race, then crushed them in an impressive debut, draws inside again & could be anything

 

1-Rome Pays Off – Steady improvement & fresh off an easy baby race win here he tripped out to take his PA Allstars debut @ Pocono, another gem for Team Melander launches from the rail, a brother to Hambo eligible Marseille, 1:52.3

 

2-Worthy Of Honor – Competitive in all three outings so far for Team Orange Crush, tried a brush of speed in the PA Allstars @ Pocono, better draw for this match up, fifth foal out of Breeders Crown champion Honorable Daughter, 1:55.1 [$979,236]

 

RACE 10

5-Surfing Tide – Took a mark of 1:50.4 here in an abbreviated 3YO season offered some late pace in his latest comeback @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, lands in a prime spot to shine

 

1-Sportsmanship – Just one for 23 this season, yet finished second to a revved up City Hall last week & draws better for the bump back up in class 

 

2-Jackamino – Only 3 for 37, but returns fresh off a lively third @ Pocono, just missed from post ten here three starts back & in line for a stalking trip

 

RACE 11

8-Taramakaureactor N – Just missed with a late move two starts back, draws a tougher post, but drops to an easier rating, while banking on a speed target

 

1-Fire Light – Took a new mark of 1:52.4 when he rallied as the heavy favorite on June 15, returns to a similar rating with the rail & re-united with Corey Callahan

 

6-Power Dreaming N – Lightly-raced NZ-bred 4YO pulled off a well-meant upset from post nine back on June 22, any semblance of that effort makes him a threat here

 

RACE 12

6-Reflect With Me – $120,000 Captaintreacherous standout displayed eye-catching closing speed in her baby races, just missed with :53.1 back half & :25.1 kicker in her opener, 9thfoal out of the steady producer Remember When, 1:50.3 [$917,523]

 

10-JK First Lady – 3 Brothers homebred first foal out of 2014 Horse of the Year JK She’salady scored with a perfect trip when favored in a sparkling debut, paced a :53.4 back half & kicked home in :25.4, post ten in a talent-laden field may not stop her

 

2-Lady Lou – Sweet Lou filly qualified with plenty of speed & lived up to hype in her debut, holding off Marloe Hanover, another Team Alagna gem draws inside 

 

RACE 13

8-U Need Stones – Team Burke 4YO getting his act together, fresh off a solid second to a well-rated Zlatan last week, tougher post here, but gets further class relief

 

9-Majestic Fire – Returns here fresh off one of his big late moves that produced a nose upset @ Vernon Downs, just a fifth off his lifetime mark, rallied right there in the photo two starts back

 

2-Swan Chase – Just getting his season underway @ Hoosier Park & shows back-to-back narrow losses there recently, owns some back class, arrives in a productive barn & draws inside a suspect field

 

RACE 14

5-Chief Mate – Sizzled home in both baby races & erupted to win his debut in :54.3 & :25.4, Captaintreacherous first foal from his dam whose family includes Mr Feelgood, 1:48.3 [$1,259,599]

 

6-Bombshell Hanover – His baby races showed steady improvement, the latest a neck shy of Capt Midnight, a solid third in his debut with a :25.3, brother to Badiou Hanover, 1:49.3 & Big Top Hanover, 1:51

 

4-Force N Fury – The Alagna Armada unveils another Captaintreacherous colt making nice moves in his morning trials & draws well to make an immediate impression, 7thfoal out of world champion My Little Dragon, 1:48.1 [$2,318,623], brother to Stay Hungry, 1:47.3 [$1,303,709]
